Wabtec Quality Assurance Technician Internship 2024: Responsibilities
- Document test/inspection data and audit findings using software tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Scrutinize inspection documents for precision and maintain orderly recordkeeping.
- Apply statistical process control methods.
- Analyze data and generate reports for distribution to relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct incoming material checks as necessary.
- Review and manage material test reports for Material Traceability.
- Conduct routine inspections for critical-to-quality dimensions.
- Conduct comprehensive dimensional layouts using prescribed measurement instruments such as FARO Arm and CMM.
- Perform cleanliness testing according to customer specifications and analyze results using RAM Optical.
- Carry out scheduled process audits and random product inspections.
- Execute gage calibration and Gage R&R studies as needed.
- Conduct Return Unit Assessments for defective products returned by customers.
- Perform paint inspections including visual checks, cross-hatch testing, gloss readings, dry film thickness assessment, and pencil hardness tests as required.
