What You Will Do
We’re seeking a Graphic Design intern to collaborate with our team in crafting compelling information design presentations, signage, and show graphics to narrate stories and pitch ideas across the Walt Disney World Resort! As an intern, you’ll have the chance to:
- Construct information design presentations backing different phases of creative concepts or projects.
- Assist in the design development and technical documentation of various Environmental Graphic projects.
- Compile signage design information and documentation.
- Furnish design documentation, including illustrations, photographs, scaled images, graphics, and research for assigned projects.
Disney WDI Graphic Design Summer Internship 2024: Eligibility Requirements
- Enrollment in an accredited college/university with a minimum of one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) before the internship OR graduation within six months from a college/university at the time of applying OR current participation in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship is required.
- Minimum age of 18 is mandatory.
- No completion of one year of continuous employment on a Disney internship or program.
- Unrestricted work authorization is a prerequisite.

Basic Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in intentional design, artistic capabilities, and sound professional judgment for addressing graphics and signage design challenges within our Theme Parks, Resorts, and Ships.
- Proficient in design and illustration tools, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, SketchUp, and the MS Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Keynote application.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred minimum of one year of practical experience in Graphic Design or one or more years in a professional internship.
- Understanding of Information Design and proficiency in creating presentation decks.
- Familiarity with Environmental Graphic design, sign construction techniques, and related fields, including architecture, interior design, and landscape design.
- Knowledge of video editing and proficiency in video editing programs, such as After Effects and/or Premiere.
- Experience in 3D modeling using programs like Rhino, Revit, Maya, and/or ZBrush
- Previous experience and familiarity with Disney.
- Membership in the Society of Environmental Graphic Design (SEGD).
